This is the first part of a series of mixes where I’ll be raiding the Hardnoyz crates for Old Skool Jungle circa 1993/94. The idea behind this mix series is to commemorate the 20th anniversary of one of Essex’s finest and earliest Pirate Radio Stations – Sweet FM – by playing tons of the Jungle tunes that you would’ve heard being played by Mad Ragga Jon, Keety Bwoy, DJ Stetly, SLB, Nut Nut, Plus 8, Sinister, Rufftone, Ruffige, Flatliner, Rushin’ Richie and myself Billy Hardnoyz – not to mention the many guest appearances from DJ’s like Peshay, Danny Breaks, Remarc, to name but a few, and all pretty much hosted by the lyric daddy himself, the might MC Spangler G.
